MOSCOW, May 28 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Federal Drug Control Service director Viktor Ivanov earned 55 million rubles ($1.8 million) last year, no less than 23 times the sum he earned in 2011, according to a declaration posted on the service’s website on Tuesday.
Ivanov, who earned 2.3 million rubles (over $73,200) in 2011, owns a land plot of 1,500 square meters (0.4 acres) with a house on it, a flat of 191 square meters (over 2,000 square feet) and also rents a dacha, according to the declaration.
His spouse’s income in 2012 multiplied by almost a hundred times, totaling 53 million rubles ($1.7 million), up from 600,000 rubles (almost $20,000) in 2011. She also owns a land plot with a house.
Ivanov and his wife do not own cars, according to the declaration. Their total income has never exceeded 3.5 million rubles (over $111,000) in the previous three years.
