Iron And Steel Works Under the Cover of the Night

Nizhny Tagil Iron And Steel Works named after V. I. Lenin is a city-forming enterprise in the Sverdlovsk region, one of the largest smelters in Russia, fourth largest iron and steel works in the country.


It’s not so easy to get there. To do this one should find a place where he can climb over the fence with barbed wire, overcome some obstacles and various railways and remain unnoticed by train drivers and other workers of the station and finally climb the blast furnace. Luckily there is always someone who can do this and take nice shots.












There are no many people here in fact.



There are six blast furnaces here, four of them are disabled.

The bucket with molten slag, it’s very hot to stand there even at the distance of 50-60 meters.



Coal turns into coal dust in this building.
