Bank of Moscow scandal

The Bank of Moscow has come under scrutiny since its founder Yury Luzhkov was dismissed as Moscow mayor in September of last year. The bank’s head, Andrei Borodin, faces possible criminal charges over a $444 million loan his bank gave to Luzhkov’s wife, Yelena Baturina, with the money allegedly coming from the Moscow budget and rumored to have ended up in Baturina’s personal account.
