On winter days we especially want something hot, nutritious, flavorful. So we are going to cook lamb in cowberry sauce. The meat is going to be cooked in a bamboo steamer to be tasty and tender.

We gonna need:
Lamb loin 500 g.
Cowberry 100 gr.
Potatoes 500 g.
Three cloves of garlic.
Onion 1 pc.
Pepper 2 pcs.
Parsley, dill, rosemary, jeera, paprika and black pepper, salt, turmeric.
Olive oil 50 gr.
The first thing we should do is to cut the lamb loin along the vertebra.
Then we cut the onion into small cubes.
Dill, parsley and rosemary are to be chopped now.
Then we add the black pepper, salt, jeera, finely grated garlic, cowberries.
Then we mash it with hands to squeeze the berries.
The meat is to be covered with the resulted marinade and left aside for one hour.
Then we put it on the steamer to be cooked for 1,5 hours.
While the lamb is being cooked we prepare the potatoes: to make it beautifully yellowish we need simple marinade – we need olive oil…
And mix it with turmeric, chili powder and salt.
We spread this mixture over the potatoes.
And put them into the steamer 20-25 minutes before the end of the lamb cooking.
To decorate the dish we take a pepper, cut it into halves and put homemade adjika sauce inside.
It’s ready now!
