Drunken Man Bites Police Officer in Far East

KHABAROVSK, November 2 (RIA Novosti) – A drunken resident of a village in the Far Eastern Khabarovsk Territory, has bitten a police officer, inflicting injuries “similar to a bite of a large dog,” the regional police department said on Friday.


The man from the Litovko village attacked and bit in the arm a police officer who tried to detain him for violating public order.


“According to doctors’ evaluation, the injury did significant damage to [the officer's] health. The laceration wound was similar to a bite of a large dog,” police said in a statement


A criminal case was launched on charges of attacking a police officer, which entail a maximum punishment of up to five years in prison.
