MOSCOW, July 6. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on Monday confirmed their willingness to secure a final deal on Iran’s nuclear program as soon as possible, the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement reporting talks between the diplomats in Vienna.
"The sides reaffirmed their commitment to find a swift comprehensive political and diplomatic solution that will allow reaching a final deal on Iran’s nuclear program," the ministry said.
During the meeting, Lavrov and Wang also "discussed bilateral cooperation on a number of pressing issues in today's international agenda", it said, adding that particular attention had been paid to preparing this week’s summits in Russia’s city of Ufa involving the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Russia, China and the Central Asian former Soviet republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan; and the BRICS grouping of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
