US election to trigger the Great American Revolution?

2020/10/30

Is the world going to eyewitness a revolution in the United States that would be similar to Maidan riots in Ukraine? What is going to happen to the USA as a result of the presidential election? Is the army going to take part in the riots if they spark? Which side are law-enforcers going to take? Pravda.Ru asked these and other questions to Vladimir Vasiliev, Chief Researcher at the Institute of the USA and Canada.

"Do you think that the American Maidan can be possible at all? Can it happen at the time when they recount the votes or after the decision of the US Supreme Court?"

The US Supreme Court is the last instance, the last arbitration. The Florida Supreme Court has already upheld the claim from the Republicans. America is structured federatively, like a nesting doll, a matryoshka. First there must be local courts: appeals, federal courts, then the Supreme Court of the state comes in. When something very serious needs to be brought down, the US Supreme Court steps in.

American spring turns into Maidan autumn

This is where the process starts. In today's America, there are approximately 300 large rightist and leftist groups, which allegedly do not subordinate to anyone. In fact, they do subordinate to someone. In general, it goes about from 15 to 20 thousand well-armed people, who regularly appear on television and on the Internet. One can see not only men, but also women armed with machine guns, semi-automatic weapons, and knives from the era of Chingachgook, the Great Serpent.

Such an armed group of people has recently detained a local mayor in one of the states for implementing another lockdown. There were plans to kidnap State Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Those armed people firmly believe that every vote must be counted, and ballot box stuffing should be excluded.

Therefore, they can come to a polling station and take control of it by organizing their own observation commission. The Republicans have allocated 50,000 observers who will monitor the voting at key polling stations.

However, if the recounting takes place over several days or weeks, a question arises about the place of storage for those ballots. The fate of the ballots remains unclear. The same problem was raised in Russia, when the principle of multi-day voting was discussed.

There are also facts of intimidation of voters throughout the United States. People are already being bullied by email. Voters can be intimidated near polling stations, because they still have to come to register to vote.

Voters can be intimidated simply because voters' lists are exposed. This may not be a new American practice, but the principle is this: do not go to vote, otherwise your house will burn. This is not a joke - many shops and homeowners have already lost their property. All this may play an important role at polling stations and seriously affect the voting process, and, accordingly, cause riots.

"How can law-enforcers respond?"

The police may decide to stay away, should riots spark. If the crisis strikes, it may develop differently, depending on "red" and "blue" states.

All this can give rise to chaos. Trump already said that America may have to deal with something it has never seen before. It is believed that Trump may pull military into election unrest.

Trump did not pedal this topic afterwards, but it did cause a reaction. He may not have scored any points with that statement, but he insinuated that the armed forces would be involved in accordance with the law of 1807, should riots start.

The armed forces of the United States of America are colonial in nature - it is prohibited to use them inside the United States, there is the National Guard for the purpose, but army units can be involved still.

Defense Department officials were inundated with letters from Democratic senators a half month ago about how the military will act in case of possible riots. It appears, however, that the army has split.

Defense Secretary Mark Esper said that the military would act in accordance with the law. What did he mean by that? Is he going to obey the orders coming from the supreme commander or not? Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said that he would never, under any circumstances, interfere in the elections.

Deep State does not know yet whom to elect - Trump or Biden

2020/10/30

Which president of the USA is preferable for Russia - Trump or Biden and why? Who will get more votes and who will be declared the winner by the Deep State? Is Trump still acceptable for the Deep State? Pravda.Ru asked these and other questions to Russian writer and literary historian Yuri Miloslavsky.

"Four years ago the real leaders of the United States made a mistake, and they can make the same mistake again. It is impossible to predict who will win this election and who will be declared the winner, given all the intrigue. Apparently, everything will be decided at the very last moment. Do you think this is the most likely scenario?"

"During this time, certain decisions were made. President Trump has shown himself, if not a completely obedient, then as a person, who is ready to do his best to listen to all sorts of wishes coming from the leaders of the deep state.

Not a bloody thing has been left of his team. He fired everyones. It is not without reason that even his supporters sadly admit that he is the weakest president in the history of the United States.

However, no other president has been subjected to so much powerful pressure. Some of them were shot dead, but this is a whole different story. As for Donald Trump, we have to admit that one has to be very strong to be able to withstand the pressure that he had to deal with.

President Trump has not started a single more or less serious war in all of his almost four years of presidency. Nonetheless, he has showed himself to be a person who needs to be looked after very attentively.

Trump targets conservative America, the America in the spirit of the 1950s - before the vassalization of Western and then all of Europe. He has showed himself to be a retrograde, conservative, isolationist, so it is better not to reelect him. I very much doubt that he has a chance of getting a second term, although it can be possible, of course.

Trump is doing his best to achieve that. He shows his loyalty to traditional geopolitical goals of the Deep State. But I'm afraid they won't believe him."

"The strategic policy of the United States has not changed at all during Trump's stay in power. It may have even strengthened in its aspiration for the leading role of world domination. What can Trump be guilty of then?"

"He was literally forced to pursue this policy, and he is pursuing it. He is ready to listen and obey under certain guarantees, conditions and other things. At the same time, he needs to be looked after very attentively.

The members of the notorious world government are not some reptilians, big brothers or something like that. They are people who, like anyone else, have a lot of work to do, who want to have a break very now and then, and their experts want to live decent lives too. Therefore, it is impossible to focus too much attention on this gentleman in the White House all the time - it is a lot easier not to elect him."

"You are predicting the outcome of the election in the USA."

"No. I do not do it, because I always believe that I can make mistakes, and so can the Deep State.  Even wisest people can make very serious mistakes at times.

Let's take, for example, Emperor Napoleon, whom I value highly as an excellent strategist. How could he get involved in this unfortunate Russian campaign of 1812? That was sheer insanity. Nevertheless, he got involved in it.

How could such a powerful and seemingly reasonable sinister system, which existed in Germany in the 1930s and the 1940s, get involved in the eastern campaign without taking into account all the conditions and possible consequences? They bought into it, and we all know the outcome.

History repeats itself, and the American deep state can make this or that mistake literally in the next hours, days, minutes, at the very last moment - anytime. It is very difficult to predict anything here.

One should remember a quote from late Russian Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin. His thought is remarkable: it does not matter how they vote, it matters how they put it down. I myself am a paleoconservative and a monarchist. To me, the word "elections" means one of the greatest lies of our time in a sense.

One cannot, of course, get away from the idea that elections can be fair. Of course they can, but it's so complicated and so rare that one does not have to take it seriously. If such elections happen, they they sometimes do happen in different countries, including in Russia, they do not bring any good, didn't you notice?

Can Emmanuel Macron tolerate beheadings?

2020/10/30

Emmanuel Macron's determination to defend France's values has angered the Muslim world from Morocco to Pakistan.

Shock and reaction

After the brutal murder of college teacher Samuel Paty by 18-year-old man of Chechen origin Abdulakh Anzorov, the French president promised to use all the power of the country's state system to protect secular values from Islamic radicalism. Remembering Samuel Paty, Emmanuel Macron stated:

"He was killed precisely because he incarnated the Republic. He was killed because the Islamists want our future. They know that with quiet heroes like him, they will never have it," Macron said.

The beheading of the French teacher shocked the French society, and the people of France had their own way to respond to it:

in Montpellier, caricatures of Prophet Muhammad were projected on the walls of the town hall;
in Paris and other cities of France, rallies and meetings were held in memory of the victim and in defense of the freedom of speech.

Macron's determination

The French President believes that radical Islam poses a threat to the republic. The isolation of Muslim communities, according to Emmanuel Macron, promotes and enforces its own rules and laws in the country. In fact, a parallel society is being created, the essence of which comes contrary to the laws and values of the French Republic.

"Islam is a religion that is in crisis all over the world, not just in our country," Macron said.

Emmanuel Macron, even before the tragedy in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, announced his intentions in December 2020 to submit a bill which, in his opinion, would strengthen republican values. The declared tough line of the head of the Fifth Republic aims to create "enlightened Islam" in France.

President Macron is determined to achieve this goal even at the cost of a quarrel with the entire Muslim world. The French leader proposed a number of actions, including:

  • strict monitoring of the activities of sports clubs and other organizations that can be used as a cover for the activities of radical Islamists;
  • deny visas to foreign imams;
  • tighten control over the operation and funding of mosques;
  • limit homeschooling of children;
  • make it easier for immigrants and their descendants to move along social lifts.

The voluntary imposition of a number of restrictions that affected Christmas trees and other symbols that weave the diversity of French culture may become a thing of the past.

A fecal flower

The reaction to the brutal murder of Samuel Paty was unequivocal among the citizens who deny the cannibalistic aesthetic. One of the former UFC fighters, Zelim Imadayev, called the killer a "hero." Mixed-style fighter Albert Duraev also expressed his support for the executioner. It is worthy of note that the determined men subsequently deleted their posts of solidarity on social networks. The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, also expressed his opinion on the subject:

"Well, Macron, if you call him a terrorist, then in that case you are a hundred times worse, because you force people to terrorism, you push people towards it, you leave them no choice and create all conditions for nurturing extremist ideas in the minds of young people. You may call yourself the leader and mastermind of terrorism in your country."

Enforcement to terrorism is a serious statement to make. It sounds almost like an indulgence for future achievements. The Kremlin, through the mouth of Putin's official spokesman Dmitry Peskov, tried to slightly slow down Ramzan Kadyrov's activity in the field of foreign policy.

Russian most famous it-girl and socialite Ksenia Sobchak faced criticism from MMA fighter Magomed Ismailov for expressing her support to Emmanuel Macron. Ismailov did make an effort to impress his instagram audiences with metaphors:

"The President of France is Islamophobic, so he tries to offend and insult the feelings of believers. Turning to Ksenia Sobchak, I want to say this: Ksenia, you are a filthy stupid animal. You are like a flower that grows from shit, from a heap of shit."

This is certainly a very romantic message, but any educated person knows that plants feel best when  they receive fertilizers of natural origin. It is worthy of note that Magomed Ismailov imprudently ignored the wise recommendation of Prophet Muhammad, who said that the person who is strong is the one who controls himself when he is angry.

The principle of the republic

French teacher Samuel Paty, even though that he warned students that the illustrations he was about to show might offend someone's religious feelings, showed the infamous cartoons anyway.

To be able to either condemn or justify the actions of the teacher, one has to be either born in France, or live in the country for many years to realise, understand and feel local culture, traditions and fundamental values. The same is the case with the perception of humor that comes from Charlie Hebdo magazine.

One of the fundamental principles of French national identity is laicism (irreligiousness). Any French national sincerely believes that infringement of freedom of speech for the sake of something or someone is a threat to the state. To break the established state of affairs is tantamount to offering a Muslim to enjoy a pork knuckle.

Neither the anger of the Turkish president, nor the indignation of the head of Chechnya and fighters of various styles taken together will be able to do anything at this point. France is a state with its own principles. The citizen who has his own opinion will always remain a priority.

Finding balance

A balance of interests and beliefs will some day be found to stop radical manifestations of religiosity. In fact, this balance existed to some extent until the genie of Islamic radicalism was released from the bottle during the Cold War between the USSR and the Western world.

Pictures of pre-war Afghanistan and Iran during the times of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi now look like something unreal. Even in Moscow it was difficult to imagine thousands of rugs on Fridays and top officials attending landmark services in Orthodox churches.

The idea of replacing communist ideology with religion in Russia instead of the solid system of the rule of law was hopeless from the start. The legislative simplification of punishment for real and imaginary insults on religious grounds can hardly be called a breakthrough towards harmony in the society either.

Is Macron radical enough to handle radical Islam in France?

2020/10/29

An unidentified man wielding a knife attacked civilians in the Church of Notre Dame in the French city of Nice. Three people were killed, several others were hospitalised with injuries. According to unconfirmed reports, one of the victims was beheaded.  The police detained the criminal. The mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, called the incident a terrorist attack.

The attack took place at around 09:00 a.m. local time (11:00 a.m. Moscow time). The attacker was detained ten minutes after the incident. The police said that two of the three victims died inside the cathedral. The attacker was also injured and hospitalized.

Le Figaro's source in the police said that the perpetrator beheaded one of the victims, although it remains unclear whether it was a woman or an elderly man.

Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi said the attack was carried out by a radicalized Muslim individual, who, according to the mayor, shouted "Allahu Akbar" even when he was receiving medical assistance after being detained. He described the attack as a manifestation of Islamic fascism.

"We need to eradicate Islamic fascism throughout the country at any cost," the mayor said. He said that all Christian churches and other sites of worshipping would be closed in the city for a while. Additional measures will also be taken to ensure the safety of churches.

Estrosi originally reported that two people were killed and another one was in critical condition as a result of the attack. However, then he announced about the killing of three people. The attacker himself was hospitalized too, his condition is assessed as serious. "We have not yet identified the  barbarian yet," the mayor of Nice stated.

Vigipirate counter terrorist plan was implemented at the highest possible level throughout France after the attack in the church of Nice, said Prime Minister Jean Castex.

"The government's response will be firm, merciless and immediate. I have already decided to implement Vigipirate plan at the level of "terrorist attack alarm" throughout the country," the French prime minister said, speaking at the French National Assembly. Noteworthy, this is the highest level of Vigipirate plan.

The prime minister also stressed that President of France Emmanuel Macron would convene the meeting of the Security Council on Friday morning.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of condolences to French President Emmanuel Macron after the terrorist attacks in France, the Kremlin press service reported.

"The cynical and cruel crime committed within the walls of the church causes particular indignation. We could once again see that human morality is absolutely alien to terrorists. It is obvious that the fight against international terror requires unification of efforts of the entire world community," the telegram reads.

After the brutal killing of French teacher Samuel Paty, who showed Charlie Hebdo caricatures to his students as part of a course on freedom of speech, Macron stated that he would tighten control over organizations that spread ideas of radical Islam and infringe on the core values of French society. He also promised to tighten control over the funding of mosques. Macron also spoke about the crisis of Islam around the world and promised to change laws to further separate religion from the state.

Macron's statements sparked actions of protests in several countries in the Middle East. Turkish President Recep Erdogan twice offered Macron to have his head examined and urged Turkish citizens to boycott French goods. Brussels condemned Erdogan's statements, while a representative of the European Commission noted that Erdogan's calls for boycott of goods of a EU member state would not bring Turkey closer to the European Union. The Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia condemned the murder of the French teacher, but urged Paris not to associate Islam with terrorism.

On October 27, an action in support of the Prophet Muhammad took place in East Jerusalem. In the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, about 40,000 people marched to the French embassy, burned the image of Macron and also called for a boycott of French products.

On October 27, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif summoned French Chargé d'Affaires Florent Aydalot and expressed a note of protest to him in connection with the position of Paris on the right to publish cartoons about Islam. The French ambassador was also summoned to the Pakistani Foreign Ministry. The prime minister of Pakistan accused Macron of deepening the split in the society. The Pakistani parliament passed a resolution condemning the publication of cartoons and images of Prophet Muhammad.

The Story of Russian Marble From Karelia

Ruskeala marble park is one of the most beautiful places in Karelia, Russia. Since the XVII century it’s also been a big source of marble. The marble quarried in Ruskeala is used for construction, decorative and industrial purposes.

Queen Catherine II wanted to use Ruskeala marble for facades of Saint Isaac’s Cathedral but the project whose author was Rinaldi discontinued because of Queen’s death, her son Pavel I didn’t like mother’s ideas and the marble was divided between smaller construction projects in St. Petersburg.
