Sevastiana Samorodok is one of the female biker pioneers in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia and she can easily pretend to a title of the “toughest pensioner”. She has been riding a bike for forty years, and she has her own motorcycle club “Steel cobras”. A mature woman in a helmet with a pink braid on Honda Steed 400 looks brutal indeed. People often try to photograph her on the streets.
She does not like to talk about her age, but she admits she’s a retiree. By profession Sevastiana is a leader of a folk music orchestra, she can play several instruments – balalaika, piano, domra. She has two sons, both are musicians. Her hobbies – poetry, photography and painting. But the utmost is motorcycles, of course.
He passion for bikes emerged when, aged 14, she had her first ride on “Minsk”. At the age of 19 she got a license and has been permanently riding since then. He motorcycle club has only five members, all are females. The girls grow up, get married, give birth to children and change interests. But Sevastiana combines all these things, she raises children, rides across the country by bike with her husband and enjoys life at its best.
