This year a new oceanarium will open on island Russkiy in Primorye of the Russian Far East. It's going to welcome the first visitors in May.
The Primorsky oceanarium promises to be in TOP 10 best oceanariums of the world, Russia itself has no other oceanariums to compare with this one. The main building whose area is 35 thousand square meters will accomodate 500 aquariums for eighteen thousand kinds of fish and mammals.
This oceanarium is not only an entertainment object, but a scientific base as well. Hundreds of scientists are going to work there.
