New York firefighters are battling a blaze on the 33rd floor of a high-rise in Times Square.

A fire broke out around 5 PM local time at 1515 Broadway, also known as One Astor Plaza, the headquarters of Viacom and home of MTV studios. It was reportedly electrical in nature.

At least six fire trucks crowded the busy intersection with 45th street. No injuries have been reported.

The 745-foot (227 m) building was completed in 1972, and was originally known as the W.T. Grand Building.

The first 30 floors of the building have been evacuated. The New York fire department (FDNY) is reporting the “smoke condition” is under control, however.

Social media photos show as many as nine fire engines in front of the building, and traffic on Broadway brought to a standstill.
