MOSCOW, June 19. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will on Friday visit the Army-2015 International Military and Technical Forum underway in Kubinka in the Moscow Region, the Russian government press service reported. Medvedev will inspect the forum’s expositions and will deliver a speech at the closing ceremony.
The event will also involve Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and representatives of Russia’s Military-Industrial Commission. The Army-2015 International Military-Technical Forum runs June 16-19.
The goal of the forum, organized by the Defense Ministry, is "creation of necessary and sufficient conditions to look for advanced and promising technical, technological and other solutions for further introduction in military hardware manufacturing, as well as for formation of a positive reputation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and popularization of military service."
Forum participants include representatives of state corporations and defense industry sector organizations, leading research institutes, designers and manufacturers of armaments, military and special equipment, as well as foreign partners.
Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the forum’s opening.
