Russia-2018 organising committee gives FIFA 66 bases for accommodating national teams

ROSTOV-ON-DON, June 3. /TASS/. The Russia-2018 organising committee has given FIFA 66 bases in 31 cities for accommodating national squads which will take part in the 2018 World Cup, Russian Sports Minister, chairman of the Russia-2018 organising committee Vitaly Mutko said.

"We have provided FIFA with 66 bases for training - in 11 host cities and in 20 towns where no matches will be held," Mutko said.

According to FIFA requirements, the host country must provide the teams, which will take part in the tournament, with at least 64 bases to choose from. In late April, Mutko said that FIFA had approved 50 bases from the list provided by the organising committee.

World Cup games will be held between June 14 and July 15, 2018, at 12 stadiums in 11 cities of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Sochi and Rostov-on-Don.
