Fantastic work done in Moscow to host Formula E race — FIA official

MOSCOW, June 4. /TASS/. Russian organizers did an outstanding job constructing a track in downtown of the Russian capital to host the race of the inaugural FIA Formula E world championship, Alejandro Agag, the director general of F-E, said on Thursday.

"I was here for the press conference two weeks ago and it was just the beginning of the construction work," Agag said addressing a news conference in Moscow on Thursday.

"I am very impressed with the fantastic job done by our Russian partners in a short period of time," he added.

Formula E is a new FIA single-seater championship and the world's first fully-electric racing series. The very first out of the total of 10 races of the inaugural 2014/2015 season was held on September 13, 2014 in China’s Beijing.

The Moscow ePrix, to be held outside the Kremlin walls, has been scheduled to kick off on June 6, three weeks ahead of the season’s closing race in London on June 27.

A total of 10 teams are currently participating in the Formula E championship with two drivers racing for each team. The list of pilots of the new racing event include the names of such developed racers as Jerome D'Ambrosio, Jarno Trulli, Sebastien Buemi, Nick Heidfeld, Bruno Senna, Nelson Piquet, Jean-Eric Vergne and many others.
