Kremlin: Poroshenko’s claims on Russian troops in Donbas make no positive contribution

2015/05/14

SOCHI, May 14. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s allegations on presence of Russian troops in Ukraine are not "creating a positive mood" in the current situation, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

"I see no need to repeat that such unfounded accusations without any specifics or any evidence, to put it mildly, do not contribute to anything positive here," Peskov told reporters commenting on Poroshenko’s statements.

Poroshenko earlier said in an interview with German TV channel ZDF that some 11,000 Russian troops are allegedly in Ukraine. The Russian side has repeatedly rejected all the accusations that Russian military were participating in combat actions in neighboring Ukraine.
