MOSCOW, May 9. /TASS/. Russia's President Vladimir Putin calls dangerous attempts to organise a unipolar world. In a speech at the Victory Parade, he said recent decades have witnessed ignoring of the basic principles of international cooperation, for which "the mankind had suffered in the global wars."

"We have witnessed attempts of organising of a unipolar world. We can see how the force bloc-based thinking has been gaining power. That all is undermining the stable international development," Putin said.

"Our common task should be offering equal-security system for all countries, which is adequate to modern threats, and which is based on regional, global, bloc-free basis," the president said. "This way only we shall provide peace on the planet."

The institutes of the international law, which have been formed after World War II, have proved their effectiveness, Putin said.

"Those include the United Nations Organisation. The countries have formed the system of modern international law. Those institutions have proved their effectiveness in settlement of disputes and conflicts," he said.
