Chernobyl Exclusion Zone has many interesting objects worth seeing: houses of Pripyat, overgrown remains of Soviet symbolism, industrial radio factory “Jupiter’, the fifth unit of the Chernobyl NPP… At the same time there is one more important element in the culture of this gloomy place that controbuted to the formation of the current postapocalyptic reality. What we mean is the equipment left by people who would never come back.
“Zone”.
There is a radwaste burial site here in Chernobyl where the polluted equipment was left. These helicopters, trucks, tractors etc. participated in post-accident clean up. Anyways, they could never be used for anything else since then. Some of the vehicles have been scrapped, others are still decaying here. The picture you see above is dated 2012.

Some people treat coming here as a religion. They think that this equipment is important than the city of Pripyat itself.
Radioactivity here is still increased.
