This post is about the Bolonsky reserve and one architect who willingly chose life in subhuman conditions. Vladimir maintains order in his portable cabin standing lonely at spring Muchien, Khabarovsk region, Russia. Last year this territory was fully flooded, aftermath is still visible everywhere.
Just recently everything used be much worse here, but creative and willing people turned this place into an idyllic one.
Storm wind and two-meter waves – the Amur river was like a shoreless sea, it flooded everything around: insects, reptiles and even some bears could not save themselves from the water. People had to turn over a new leaf…
These guys have brought an old ship and built a plywood booth on it to start restoration.
Yes, this place was not idyllic at all.
“Utility zone of cordon “Kiltasin”.
Cold, windy and wet. No normal drinking water, only one motor boat “Crimea” for transportation, sometimes they have to drag it in the water 10-15 cm high for kilometers. Ranks have no matter here, all people here are equal.
Hunting for geese finished several days ago, but indigenous people can legally do it whenever they want without any limitations and special permissions.
Motor boats are not reliable enough for moving along the reserve. Such tank (snow and swamp-going vehicle) has more chances for success but it consumes too much fuel – 200 liters of petrol for a hundred of kilometers. Besides it can go only on special cross-country trails.
