KRASNOYARSK, June 26 (RIA Novosti) - Medical assistance for Ukrainian refugees in Krasnoyarsk Territory in the Siberian Federal District, is to be provided free of charge, regardless of whether a person has the proper documents to qualify for state health insurance, the Regional Health Ministry reports.
"Emergency aid is delivered in inpatient and outpatient settings, including at home, to anyone who’s asking for it. Planned medical care – in a hospital or outpatient setting – is delivered in health care facilities in the areas where the person is currently located, in accordance with the procedure established in Krasnoyarsk Territory, meaning on the same terms as for residents of the region,” spokesperson for the regional Health Ministry Zoya Maslennikova said.
A letter on the organization of planned and emergency medical care was sent by the local ministry to head doctors throughout the region’s health network, Maslennikova noted.
More than 3,000 Ukrainian citizens have already requested medical aid. According to the Federal Migration Service, while about 14 Ukrainian citizens have applied for temporary asylum.
The violent clashes between the national army and independence supporters in Ukraine have resulted in hundreds of casualties, including civilians. Residents of the conflict-ridden areas have asked to evacuate their children and find them asylum.
More than 200 temporary accommodation centers have been established in southern and central Russia for the Ukrainian refugees. There are currently 12,800 people at temporary accommodation centers, including over 5,300 children.
