MOSCOW, January 28 (RIA Novosti) – The Russian consul general and his wife sustained knife injuries in an attack in Sudan’s capital Khartoum on Tuesday, Western media said citing Sudanese police.
The attacker, from the Central African Republic, said he wanted to attack any Westerner to avenge the recent death of his brother in his violence-plagued home country.
"There was no motive other than revenge for the death of brother," Reuters quoted a statement by Khartoum police.
The couple was taken to hospital in stable condition.
