SEVILLE, Spain, April 17. /TASS/. Spanish Sevilla FC has beaten Russian Zenit St Petersburg FC by 2-1 in the first match of the Europa League quarter-finals.
Alexander Ryazantsev (Zenit St Petersburg) netted on the 29th minute, while Carlos Bacca (FC Sevilla) scored the first goal for the Spanish club (73rd minute) and Denis Suбrez - the second (88th minute).
Sevilla FC is the current winner of the UEFA Europa League, the second in the rating of European Cups.
St Petersburg is to host the return game on April 23.
