Soviet space radio telescope in Crimea

This Soviet radio telescope was built in Crimea for a reason: Crimea had the most amount of sunny days in USSR so clouds didn't stand in a way for the telescopes like this. This particular one was built in late 1960s. It was used in some Soviet sci-fi movies in USSR as well. Let's see some photos of it:

Russian Navy Unique Project: Two-Person Mini Submarine Called Triton

Soviet Union had some uber cool things. For example this mini navy submarine "Triton-1M" which could seat two and only 32 of such were released. They could stealthy carry you on an underwater journey whenever comrade admiral sends you. Straight out of some unreleased Bond movie! See photos, thanks to Russian blogger Oleg here:

This one hasn't survived till now, but out of other 32 it's hard to say where are the others. Maybe an oligarch or two have some of those refurbished and waiting in their private garages in case of emergency escape need arises.

World War 2 Guns Laid in Ground for 70 Years And Dug Out from the Ground in Russia

A selection of World War 2 guns that stayed in the ground for tens of years and now being dug out by Russian enthusiasts. The search for the old guns became very popular in Russia lately, so popular that a law was passed that abolished such kind of searches in Russian forests. Now if you going to be caught with a metal detector you can face charges. Still people go on this treasure hunt as the stock of the metal laying down in the ground since WW2 is immense.
