MOSCOW, May 6. /TASS/. Moscow’s Presnensky Court has found the former head of the Defence Ministry’s property management department, Yevgenia Vasilieva, of embezzlement of 3 billion roubles (roughly $60 million), a TASS correspondent reports from the courtroom.
Earlier, the prosecutor asked the court to sentence Vasilieva to a suspended prison term of eight years and also to sustain 800-million-rouble lawsuits. According to the prosecution, the real estate and valuables confiscated from Vasilieva will be enough to repay this debt to the state.
