‘Against All’ Party Registered in Russia

2012/11/23

MOSCOW, November 23 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Ministry of Justice on Friday registered a new political party, called Against All.

The party, created in May this year, bills itself as being against all those who oppose the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC).

According to the party manifesto, published on its website, its goals are to protect the ROC and its millions of believers against media attack and to prevent sacrilegious acts from taking place.

It is also against the opposition and all those who “get people out into the street” and “create chaos.”

In April, Russia significantly simplified the party registration procedure. Now a political party only needs 500 members to file for official registration.

As of November 23, a total of 210 political parties notified the Justice Ministry of their creation, the ministry said.
